Welcome to Montrose Befriending Service!
Montrose Befriending Service is a community group and registered charity that aims to help address the problems of social isolation and loneliness within the Montrose area.
We facilitate 1-1 Befriending match-ups, run regular groups and community events and have a second-hand craft shop called Castaways.
Our new premises, at No.32 Castle Street, Montrose, opened in April 2026 and is a welcoming hub where people can volunteer, connect, learn and create together.
Volunteers play a vital and active role in MBS and are involved in every level of the organisation.
To find out more details about us, the work we do and how you can get involved visit our About Us section or explore the site using the menu above.
We also have several small rooms available for hire on an hourly basis.
